How do we implement sustainability at McKesson Europe? And how do we take action to make a difference in the long term?

How do we implement sustainability at McKesson Europe? And how do we take action to make a difference in the long term?
Serving as our compass in this endeavour are our ICARE shared principles: Integrity, Customer First, Accountability, Respect and Excellence. The McKesson Europe Code of Conduct (PDF 4.8 MB) guides us in our daily dealings with our colleagues and business partners. It ensures that all employees act in accordance with high legal and ethical standards.
… by applying our efforts exactly where we can make a difference back to topTo this end, we examined where in our value chain we have an impact on the environment and society, and what this impact is – whether we are dealing with negative effects that need to be reduced, or with positive added value that we create for our patients, our employees and the community.
The result of this analysis is our sustainability strategy. It consists of three fields of action:
Sustainable quality and supply chain management for greater sustainability in healthcare.
Protection of the environment and climate through effective energy management, optimised transport logistics and efficient use of resources.
With logistics know-how, pharmaceutical expertise, local presence and commitment, we inspire colleagues, customers and patients alike.
Our operations have an impact on the environment and society. And that's exactly where we come in: we have defined three fields of action in which we are active both global and in the individual countries where we have a presence, and organise the work we do each day in a way that is sustainable and conserves resources.
