From today, people with chronic and difficult-to-heal wounds in Landstuhl and the surrounding area will have a new contact point: This Monday, the WZ-WundZentrum will open its treatment rooms for the first time in the new building of the Medical Care Center at Konrad-Adenauer-Straße 4.
“Patients with chronic and wounds that are difficult to heal, such as led ulcers (ulcus cruris), pressure sores (decubitus) or diabetic foot ulcers, have usually gone through a long path of suffering. We are very pleased to be able to close the supply gap in wound treatment in Landstuhl and the surrounding area,” says André Lantin, managing director and founder of WZ-WundZentren GmbH.
Focus on the patient
The WZ wound centers are special practices with the highest hygienic and professional standards, in which only patients with chronic and / or difficult-to-heal wounds are cared for. The specialized nursing team in the new WZ-WundZentrum takes a lot of time for the extensive nursing anamnesis, advice, treatment and coordination in the network of health service providers. A close collaboration and cooperation has been concluded with the Landstuhl Surgery in the MVZ Westpfalz. Together, a holistic therapy plan tailored to the patient's individual needs is created and regularly evaluated, emphasizes Dr. med. Peter Jung, specialist in surgery and vascular surgery.
The primary goal of the treatment is to enable the wounds to heal quickly and thereby enable the patient to live a symptom-free life. Everyone, including those with statutory health insurance, is entitled to benefits, which means that the health insurance companies reimburse the benefits.
