Founded in 1924, OCP France is the largest pharmaceutical wholesaler on the French market. Its head office and administration are located in Saint-Ouen near Paris. OCP France distributes medicinal products provided by 835 suppliers to 14,000 community and 2,000 hospital pharmacies from 45 distribution centers. The company has been a part of McKesson Europe since 1993.
OCP France ensures the supply of medicines and health products in pharmacies throughout France. It aims to offer innovative solutions for clients and partners by creating value through better process management or by offering new services.
OCP’s new PREMIUM offer is based on four pillars: product availability made possible through the unique National Re-Distribution Center, purchasing solutions to strengthen pharmacy competitiveness, digital innovation with the launch of Link, the first global digital platform for pharmacies and patients, and finally pharmacy financing: innovative solutions to help pharmacists realise their projects, and thereby sustain the French pharmacy network.

Pharmacy partnership model
Pharmactiv was founded in 1989 and today is a cooperation of 1,650 independent pharmacists in France (and 200 pharmacies) in Belgium. The service company helps its members to maximize treatment compliance and well-being amongst patients while providing appropriate solutions: from purchasing to logistics, from training to patient programs and from promotions to product consultation. Pharmactiv offers a broad range of own label products, such as skincare products for adults and babies. Our pharmacists live our values in dealing with customers: expertise, innovation, proximity, and competitiveness.
France has a population of 66.5 million people and more than 22,000 pharmacies. With approximately 2,900 inhabitants per store the country has a relatively high pharmacy density.
At Pharmactiv pharmacies, the customer is at the heart of all activities. To ensure quality services are being provided, Pharmactiv pharmacies are inspected on a regular basis. Twice a year, the Pharmactiv network receives a visit from a ‘’mystery shopper’’ with the objective of improving the quality scores awarded for advice, services and set-up of the point of sale.
Moreover, Pharmactiv is involved in the certification process for the ISO 9001-QMS PHARMA standard. This applies to both the company itself and its members: 230 pharmacies are currently certified (until March 2019).
The network’s pharmacies are known for listening carefully to the needs of their customers and for ensuring confidentiality. Apart from an excellent service, customers also benefit from the most effective medicinal products at competitive prices.
In 2017 Pharmactiv will launch "MyPharmactiv", the mobile application that connects patients to their health and pharmacist, i.e. to carry the pharmacy in their pockets. It offers many services such as prescription scanning with real-time order tracking, alerts for taking medications, the ability to ask questions to the pharmacist, etc. The OCP secure digital platform Link, a unique and innovative digital infrastructure, will also be launced. It is an online purchasing platform which connects the pharmacist directly to OCP, and a CRM digital solution that will enable pharmacists to extend their relationship to their patients .
